Gardnerville

Gardnerville was established in 1879 by Homesteader, John Gardner to serve the farmers of the Carson Valley.  Gardnerville has long been famous for the Basque restaurants at the south side of downtown. The Carson Valley is one of the earliest-settled, richest, and most productive of the state¹s agricultural regions.
With the Sierra Nevada’s Carson Range to the west and the Pine Nuts to the east the valley offers breathtaking mountain views year-round with an average of 226 days of sunshine a year.
Modern day Gardnerville embraces its history, while being the business center of Carson Valley. Enjoy charming hotels, world-class food, and a farm with the best black raspberries you will ever eat. Quaint Heritage Park Gardens features life sized chess and checkers games, a labyrinth, and every year the Christmas kickoff for the whole valley takes place there.
