Smith Valley

Smith Valley is in a beautiful valley west of the Walker River. It is an agriculture area that was first established in the early 1860s. Beginning as a stopping point for stagecoaches and freight wagons, Smith Valley and the surrounding Wellington and Yerrington area is filled with large cottonwood trees, barns and farmhouses. Rich in game, cattle and sheep ranching and fishing along the Walker River, the towns offer a small town feel with the friendliness to go along with it.
